Fashion Forum to Equip Young Nigerian Entrepreneurs for Global Markets

Young and emerging fashion entrepreneurs across Nigeria are set to receive practical business development and capacity-building support as Legendary Gold Limited hosts the Nigeria Fashion Entrepreneur Forum, a free programme designed to help participants transform creative ideas into sustainable and commercially viable enterprises.

The forum, holding as part of the Nigeria Fashion Week 2026, will bring together young fashion entrepreneurs, designers, manufacturers, creative industry practitioners, policymakers, investors, buyers and other stakeholders for practical engagements on the business side of fashion.

Key areas of focus will include entrepreneurship, business development, branding, access to finance, production standards, export readiness, market access and international business opportunities.

Organisers said the initiative is aimed at helping Nigerian fashion entrepreneurs move beyond creativity and develop businesses capable of competing effectively in local, African and international markets.

Participants will receive practical insights into building strong fashion brands, strengthening production processes, understanding export procedures and positioning their products for new commercial opportunities.

A major component of the forum will be exposure to emerging pathways for Nigerian fashion businesses to access international retail markets through strategic industry partnerships. Qualifying businesses may be connected to global buyers and retail opportunities, subject to applicable commercial, quality, compliance and sourcing requirements.

The organisers said the decision to make the forum completely free reflects the commitment of Legendary Gold Limited and Nigeria Fashion Week to investing in the next generation of Nigerian fashion entrepreneurs.

The initiative is also expected to contribute to youth employment, enterprise development and wealth creation by helping young Nigerians convert creative talent into commercially sustainable businesses.

The Nigeria Fashion Entrepreneur Forum is part of the Nigeria Fashion Week 2026, themed “Beyond the Runway: Fashion and Culture at the Heart of the Green & Blue Economy (Going Green 5)”, scheduled for October 2–4, 2026, in Abuja.

Partners for the forum include Nextzon, MaisTrade and AATAGSN.

Nigeria Fashion Week is being organised in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy; Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs; National Council for Arts and Culture; Nigerian Tourism Development Authority; and the European Union Delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS.

Other partners include Bizness Group, Africa Magic, Blue Seal Energy Group, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Tetrazini, Soul Lounge Resorts, Africa CEO Club, WAP TV, Qualitrend Group, News Central, Prince Donatus, Kennis FM and PG Records.

The organisers said the broader objective is to strengthen Nigeria’s fashion ecosystem by creating stronger links between creativity, enterprise, investment, production and international markets.
